October 19, 2011
Did you just have a rough storm that damaged the outside of your home and left exterior mold, mildew and algae stains? Sadly, you can’t throw your house in a tub, scrub it down and have it come out squeaky clean. And taunting mold and mildew stains on a home are enough to provoke thoughts of moving in order to avoid the insurmountable task of exterior house cleaning.
The good news is, exterior house cleaning can be simple with the powerful cleaning formula of Mold Armor’s E-Z House Wash. Let’s guide you through the cleaning process, and in no time your home will be restored to its beautiful condition.
Step 1: As always, safety comes first. Before engaging in exterior house cleaning, be sure to wear personal protective equipment. For this project, it’s recommended you wear goggles and gloves that are chemical resistant.
Step 2: E-Z House Wash will not harm plants and shrubs when used according to the directions. It is, however, recommended that you douse surrounding greenery with water before proceeding with the next step in exterior house cleaning.
Step 3: For typical stains and dirt, combine 3 parts water with one part Mold Armor E-Z House Wash. This amount of solution will allow you to cover 2,000 square feet. For heavier stains, leave the house wash undiluted and use at full strength.
Step 4: Now you are ready to start spraying! Using a pump-up garden type sprayer, roller or sponge, apply a light, even application. DO NOT use a high pressure power washer which could damage the exterior surface. To better see where you are spraying the exterior house cleaning product, it’s suggested that you start from the bottom and work your way up. Typically, no scrubbing is required unless stains are heavier. The solution will need to sit for five minutes before being rinsed away with water.
Step 5: You are almost there. Just the clean-up is left. Spray your plants and shrubs with your garden hose one last time. Then, store the remaining E-Z House Wash in a safe location that is out of reach of children.
